PaulALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF TO YOU.

My name is Paul Wizikowski and I am a conservative Republican running for Tulsa City Councilor to District 8.

I am someone who values family, faith, and hard work. I've been married to my wife Rebekah for eight years, we are the proud parents of two young boys, and we are blessed to call Tulsa our home.

As my family grows, I am constantly reminded and shown just how vital a healthy family is for the success of the next generation and for the community at large. My family and I are active members of Church on the Move. To me, my faith is more than just a belief in Jesus Christ and my salvation; it is a source for absolute values and principles that provide a constant reference point for life. The beautiful thing is that those principles cross over into every aspect of life and work for every individual. I am also someone who has chosen to fully commit to the choices I've made. A good work ethic is more than just working hard or working smart; it's committing oneself to the success of that task.

I am also someone who believes in your ability to make the most of yourself. The key is walking out your goals and your plans one step at a time and keeping each step practical. That approach works for individuals and that approach will work for Tulsa, Oklahoma. My mantra for this campaign and for my service as a City Councilor will be "practical progress". Regardless of whether the budget is growing or shrinking, we are moving forward and our success depends on our ability to choose the practical steps. We must remain balanced in our priorities. We must remain focused on creating and fostering an atmosphere of business development while maintaining and growing our communities. It would be foolish to pick just one priority or one public department and champion it. That focus would come at the expense of other priorities and departments. What I do commit to is approaching each coming issue with open-mindedness, seeking both sides (or more) of the argument, and being open about my position on it. I want to see this city grow, I want to see you succeed, and we can – we will – do both with practical progress.
